WordFire! (the "App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information • If you sign in with Apple ID or Google, we receive authentication information (email address, user ID). • In Guest mode, we do not collect personally identifiable information (such as email addresses), but we generate an anonymous identifier to temporarily manage your learning data.
Learning Data • We collect learning progress, review history, mastered words, and related data. • This data is stored in Firebase and synced across devices (for signed-in users only).
Usage Data • We collect the following app usage data: - Session information (start/end times, duration) - Learning activity (cards studied, XP earned, streak records, etc.) - Screen navigation and feature usage - Ad display and viewing records - App launches from notifications • This data is stored in Firestore and used for service improvement and enhancing user experience. • For signed-in users, this data is associated with your user ID.
Device Information • We may collect technical information such as OS version, device model, and language settings.
Identifier Information • We generate and store a unique identifier (UUID) per installation for service provision and analytics purposes. This identifier does not personally identify you and is not used for advertising tracking. • Some device identifiers may persist on the same device after you reinstall the App.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to: • Provide and improve App services • Sync and backup learning data • Deliver push notifications (if permitted) • Manage subscription status • Provide user support
3. Information Sharing
We do not share personal information with third parties except: • With your consent • When required by law • With service providers necessary for App operation (Firebase, AdMob, etc.)
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services: • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, analytics • Google AdMob: Ad delivery (free version only) • Apple StoreKit: In-app purchases
Each service has its own privacy policy. • Google AdMob may use device technical information and IP addresses for ad delivery. For details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
5. Data Storage and Deletion
• Learning data is stored on Firebase servers (US and other locations). • Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers outside of Japan, including the United States. By using the App, you consent to this international data transfer. • When you delete your account, associated learning data is also deleted. • We retain the data we hold only until your account is deleted. When you delete your account, we delete the associated learning data, usage data, and related information. • Guest mode data is stored only on your device and is erased when you uninstall the App.
6. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Security
We protect collected information using industry-standard security measures. However, we cannot guarantee complete security over the internet.
8. Policy Changes
We may update this policy as needed. We will notify you of significant changes within the App.
9. Your Rights (EU, California, etc.)
If you are in the EU (GDPR) or California or another region with similar laws, you may have the right to request access to, deletion of, correction of, or portability of (where feasible) the personal data we hold about you.
